The award was jointly accepted by Wellous Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Andy Tan, and Co-founder and Executive Director, Henry Chin, at the official ceremony on 6 December 2024.
The Malaysia-China Superb Brand Awards, organised by Nanyang Siang Pau, celebrate outstanding business achievements while honouring the longstanding partnership between Malaysia and China. This year’s ceremony holds added significance as it marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
In a speech delivered on his behalf by the Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, YB Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing, Deputy Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah highlighted the importance of such recognition. He noted that the award honours brands that not only contribute significantly to the economy, society, and culture but also embody the values of excellence, creativity, and innovation.
He further emphasised that the 50-year milestone of bilateral relations symbolises the strength of cooperation and shared progress across various sectors. Within this context, the awards reflect the enduring spirit of partnership and mutual growth between Malaysia and China.
