Yesterday, we immersed ourselves in the rich heritage of the Orang Asli community, thanks to our meaningful partnership with The Lost Food Project. The day began with a visit to the Orang Asli Museum in Gombak, where retired Major Kalam shared valuable insights into their history and way of life.
Beyond learning, we had the opportunity to give backโdistributing essential food supplies to families in the community before joining them in their space to experience their traditions firsthand. Under the guidance of Encik Jerri, we tried our hand at blow darts and learned how they use daun bertam to build roofs, each moment reinforcing their deep connection with nature.
As modernisation progresses, the Orang Asli face challenges such as a declining population and changes to their traditional ways of living. Yet, their deep knowledge of the land remains invaluableโwhen hikers go missing or emergencies arise, the Orang Asli often work alongside Malaysiaโs Fire & Rescue Department and local authorities in search and rescue efforts, a testament to their expertise and resilience.
We also shared a meal together, cooked with bamboo shoots, a simple yet meaningful reminder of the ingenuity and resourcefulness of their culture. The experience was about listening, learning, and appreciating a way of life deeply rooted in sustainability and resilience.
Building on the success of our first initiative at Program Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Seri Alam we returned yesterday for our second collaboration with The Lost Food Project (TLFP), this time at PPR Seri Semarak. Our employees and business partners came together to pack and distribute essential groceries to 200 families from the B40 community, providing much-needed support during challenging times.
As our partnership with TLFP grows stronger, our mission remains clear: to make a lasting, positive difference. Whether through food redistribution, community outreach, or volunteer efforts, we are committed to driving sustainable change where it matters most โ to those in need.
Building on the momentum from our partnership milestone celebration with The Lost Food Project (TLFP) last month, we are proud and humbled to roll out our first meaningful food redistribution initiative at PPR (Program Perumahan Rakyat) Seri Alam.
Through this collaboration, our employees and business partners have been able to support 200 families from the B40 community by providing essential nourishment and fostering hope for improved health and well-being.
Recognising TLFPโs impactful efforts, we have decided to further strengthen this partnership by increasing our contribution from 10 meals to 60 meals for every two product subscription boxes sold and delivered to customers under our Subscription Plan every six months. With this initiative, our customers can support an individual in need with a monthโs worth of daily meals, actively contributing to sustainable change and ensuring that nutritious food reaches those who need it most.
Our partnership with TLFP goes beyond simply delivering aid; itโs about creating a lasting impact. We have embarked on a series of impactful initiatives together, from promoting sustainable practices and engaging communities to conducting knowledge-sharing sessions, donating products, and actively volunteering at TLFP’s warehouse. TLFP is renowned for rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to those in need, and together, we are committed to promoting wellness and contributing to the fight against hunger.

Eradicating HungerEmpowering Wellness
Today, weโve marked a significant milestone as we strengthen our partnership with The Lost Food Project (TLFP) to drive sustainability initiatives nationwide. With a focus on the Peopleโs Housing Programme (PPR) and indigenous communities in the Klang Valley area, weโre committed to making a real difference where itโs needed most.
This partnership goes beyond financial support; itโs about working together to improve the well-being of the communities we serve and uplift those in vulnerable situations.
Beyond our financial support, weโre also integrating TLFPโs efforts into our membership subscription plan, where RM2.00 from every subscription box will be donated to TLFP. Through this initiative, our customers can play an active role in driving sustainable change while ensuring nutritious food reaches those who need it most. Every ringgit we contribute to TLFPโs efforts helps provide five meals to those in need, amplifying the impact of every action.
Last year, we collaborated with TLFP on several inspiring initiatives, including volunteer efforts at their warehouse, knowledge-sharing sessions, product donations, and impactful community outreach programs. These experiences not only strengthened our commitment to sustainability but also fostered a culture of giving back within our organization.
