This kind of diet involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fat. The reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis. So, when this happens your body will become incredibly efficient at burning fat for energy. Moreover, it will also turn fat into ketones in the liver, that supply energy for the brain.

Vegetables can be classified into two main types based on their starch content. Non-starchy vegetables have low in calories and carbs but high in many nutrients such as vitamin C and several minerals.
